GENOA – Downtown Genoa is dressed in its holiday finery thanks to the efforts of Genoa Main Street Inc. and its volunteers.

“It’s a combined effort of the downtown businesses and Main Street volunteers,” said Diane Helland, chair of the project. “The businesses pay for the greens and we put them up.”

The project began several years ago after one downtown merchant suggested that other businesses do more to dress up for the holidays. The response was that it was a lot of work.  That’s where Main Street stepped in.
