Christmas service geared toward kids
DeKALB – St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will host two very different Christmas Eve services this year: an interactive children’s Holy Communion service at 4 p.m. and a traditional Holy Communion service with special musical selections at 6 p.m.
“The children’s service is designed to help children explore and understand the Christmas story from a child’s perspective,” said Rev. Stacy Walker-Frontjes. “We want each child to be able to experience the Gospel story in a way they may not have before.”
This informal, interactive service will take children on a journey from Galilee to Bethlehem, and will feature musical favorites “Go Tell it on the Mountain” and “We Three Kings” as led by the St. Paul’s Children’s Choir. Children of all ages are encouraged to attend.
