Obama vs. Romney may have been the big newsmaker in the fall of 2012, but locally, the favorite race was the tortoise vs. the hare. TAILS Humane Society and the Midwest Museum of Natural History pitted their resident animals against one another in a program to teach local elementary school children about the elections process. Hercules, the Midwest Museum's resident sulcata tortoise, won the most votes.
