The gymnasium at Cornerstone Christian Academy will be filled with five supervised inflatable bounce houses and obstacle courses for children 3 to 12. Parents can stay with their children at no cost or can sign their children in and out. Cost includes a juice box and a large slice of pizza; additional concessions available for purchase. Jumpers must wear socks and comfortable clothing. No jeans or denim clothing. Proceeds benefit the school's sports boosters organization.


Friday Night Wine Down

Time: 5 – 9 p.m.

Place: Prairie on State Wine Cellars, 322 W. State St.

Enjoy wine and live music. Customers can bring their own food or order in from nearby restaurants; no outside alcohol. Customers must be 21 or older. No cover charge.

Electronics Recycling Collection

Date: Third Saturday of each month; next, Jan. 19

Place: Public Works Building, 475 N. Cross St.

Items accepted for recycling include anything with a battery or that plugs into a wall; batteries; refrigerators; monitors; scrap metal; cardboard and plastic.


'Tinker Belz Art'

Victoria Belz will share her custom lampwork beads, sterling silver handmade jewelry, textiles and gifts at this brunch hosted by the DeKalb Christian Women's Connection. Speaker Elaine James will give a presentation titled, "A Day in the Life of Marjorie Overload." Reservations are encouraged.

Author Angela Wood will sign copies of her book, "Things Not Seen." In this historical novel set in 1939, the Chicago mob has targeted a school teacher and a reluctant heir, whose lives become entwined for survival.
