DeKALB – AT&T announced DeKalb Public Library is the winner of an AT&T Investing in Illinois Award. The award provides contributions to organizations and programs that improve lives in their communities by advancing education, economic growth, new technologies and essential community services. State Rep. Robert Pritchard, R-Hinckley, nominated the library.

The DeKalb Public Library hopes to use the gift of $1,000 for a Star Wars Extravaganza Day in April. The library anticipates the event will provide family-oriented activities to achieve the goal of its mission statement, “to inform, educate, entertain and inspire the community.”
