Gymnasts compete in cancer fundraiser
SYCAMORE – Energym Gymnastics competitive team recently competed in the Annual St. Jude’s Benefit Gymnastics Invite in Schaumburg. The St. Jude benefit meet is an inspiring gymnastics experience to help kids from the St. Jude children’s research hospital. This gymnastics meet has always had the theme of kids helping kids. In 20 years, this annual meet has raised more than $1 million for St. Jude.
Top all around scores for level 4 and 5 Energym gymnasts were: Madeline Keys (37.675), Lily Lucas (37.325), Katie Sexton (35.400), Alexis Salapatek (34.100), Marisa Manhart (32.250), Elijah Campbell (37.025), Taylor Gaston (36.175), Alivia Morey (36.550), Brooklyn Scott (34.850), Zoe Zemanek (34.200), Olivia Dunbar (34.075), Miranda Maciejewski (36.400), Chloe Gallangher (35.350), Grace Federici (35.250) and Samantha Lauritzen (34.900).
