Lakota drum circle Sunday

At 12:30 p.m. Sunday, April 7, an authentic Lakota drum circle will perform traditional ceremonial songs at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of DeKalb, 158 N. Fourth St. in DeKalb. The RedSpotted Drum is led by Quentin Young, a Brule Sioux sun-dancer, pipe-carrier and ceremonial leader. The group will talk briefly about the meaning and significance of the songs it performs. The public is invited to learn more about the Lakota heritage.
