SYCAMORE – In honor of Earth Day, the Sycamore Public Library will host its fourth annual Reuse-Recycle Book Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in the library’s meeting room.

The event is free and open to anyone who wants to repurpose or recycle responsibly. Volunteers from NIU Cares Day will offer curbside pickup. Materials accepted include books, magazines, scrapbooks, VHS tapes, DVDs and CDs. Volunteers will check materials for possible reuse or recycling. Books may be added to the library’s circulating collection or will be recycled. Last year’s event kept more than 11,400 pounds of paper out of landfills.

For more information, call 815-895-2500, ext. 33 or email katied@sycamorelibrary.org.
