DeKALB – Ideal Industries employees and their corporate sponsors are projected to raise more than $12,000 in support of Junior Achievement at this year’s Bowl-a-thon. Other local businesses will participate and be part of this fundraising and friend-making event as well. The Bowl-a-thon will be held at the Mardi Gras Bowling Lanes at 1730 Sycamore Road in DeKalb at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 9.

To sponsor a team and participate in this year’s event, contact either Glenn Hollister at Ideal (glenn.hollister@idealindustries.com) or Colette Tracy at Junior Achievement (ctracy@jachicago.org).

“The JA Bowl-A-Thon is a great way for our employees and our suppliers to show their support for students in our community,” Hollister said. “We are proud to support an organization that provides invaluable education to students through the JA program.”

Junior Achievement programs are delivered by corporate and community volunteers and provide relevant, hands-on experiences that give students from kindergarten through high school knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship.
