Under the supervision of instructional assistant Katie Ode, fifth grade students at Malta Elementary School have been working on service projects during their lunch recess hour. Their most recent efforts were aimed towards making wrapping paper wreaths for residents at Bethany Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in DeKalb. Residents also received handwritten letters from the students and are responding with letters of their own. Pictured is activity assistant Mallory Callahan reading a letter from a student to resident Socorro "Coco" Ochoa.
