Pork chop dinner supports 4-H

SYCAMORE – The DeKalb County 4-H Foundation and the DeKalb Area Pork Producers will conduct their annual Pork Chop Drive-Thru Dinner at the DeKalb County Farm Bureau, 1350 W. Prairie Drive in Sycamore, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 18. Tickets must be purchased by June 7.

Tickets are $10 each and include two pork chops, potato salad, baked beans, applesauce and a roll. Tickets can be purchased from area 4-H club members, foundation board members or at the DeKalb County Extension Office inside the farm bureau.

“We believe we have the perfect location for this dinner and the right group cooking the pork chops,” said Johnna B. Jennings, unit educator for 4-H Youth Development. “The DeKalb Area Pork Producers, who obviously know their pork, are purchasing and preparing the pork chops for this event. The other nice thing is our location. We believe the farm bureau building, with its nice big drive, will be the perfect setup for our customers to pick up their meals.”

Proceeds will support the DeKalb County 4-H program. For more information, call 815-758-8194.
