Sycamore Music Boosters award scholarships

SYCAMORE – The Sycamore Music Boosters Summer Music Camp Scholarship is awarded to Sycamore students currently enrolled in the music program who will attend a music camp over the summer. This year’s recipients from Sycamore Middle School are Ambyr Siebens, Athena Ye, Madeline McCormick, Megan Meyer, Grace Frielink, Kjelden Breidenbach, Colleen Dow, Julianne Morreale, Jessica Morreale, Grace Knapp, Tyler Berger, Bret Reser, Theresa Guss, Elizabeth Rader and John Paul Rader.

Recipients from Sycamore High School are Kayla Doyle, Baylie Petit, Manuela Schreiber, Emma Olson, Benjamin Van Wienen, Gabriella Rose Atkins, Rachel Hecht, Gracia Watson and Matt Johnson.

The Sycamore Music Boosters Senior Music Scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors who are majoring in music in college. This year, three seniors were awarded $500 each to assist with college tuition. Paige Phelps, cellist, who will study music education at Augustana College this fall, and Danielle Pivonka, violinist, who will study violin performance at North Park College, each received the Lundbeck Family Scholarship. The Senior Music Scholarship was awarded to Owen Ruff, violinist, who will study violin performance at the University of Texas at Austin. The Bette J. Lundbeck Scholarship was awarded to Kailey Mulligan, and the John O. Weaver Scholarship was awarded to Ashley Pagel.
