DeKALB – DeKalb High School’s Class of 1968 will enjoy a full weekend of activities when they gather to celebrate their 45-year reunion on June 21-22.

Class members who want to tour the new high school will meet inside the main entrance at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 21.

At 7 p.m. that evening, Sycamore’s class of 1968, along with other DeKalb High grads, are invited to gather at the Lost Mine Lounge at Four Season Sports, 1745 DeKalb Ave. in Sycamore. Host will be owner Dennis “Doc” Royalty, a DHS ’68 grad.

The class of 1968 can also play nine or 18 holes at a golf outing Saturday morning at the Kishwaukee Country Club in DeKalb. Golfers can organize their own foursome or wait until others arrive. Contact Steve Irving at 815-751-1654 or irvgolf1@comcast.net to attend.

Class members can tour the recently-renovated Egyptian Theatre, 135 N. Second St., at 1:30 that afternoon. The two seats that the class donated funds for will be a special focus.

Starting with a social hour at 6:30 p.m., the main event—dinner and dancing—will be held at the River Heights Golf Clubhouse, 1100 S. Annie Glidden Road in DeKalb. A DJ will play hits from the 1960s and ’70s.
