Chamber cuts ribbons

The Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce held a business after-hours open house for its new location at 111 N. Sycamore St. in Genoa on June 7. The event included a blessing of the new location by Pastor James Freund of Crosswind Community Church, a tree/landscape dedication sponsored by WK Landscape sales and service, dedication of a plaque for the renovation sponsors and a ribbon cutting. Refreshments were provided by Corner Grill on Main. The new location will also be a visitors center with maps, area guides and other information.

The Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for James Mechanical, Inc. on June 8. Jim Wilson, owner of James Mechanical, bought a new van from chamber member Alan Browne Chevrolet and had it wrapped with his "Man in the Kilt" logo by chamber member Banner Up Signs in Sycamore. The van was purchased to accommodate the business' expansion to include electrical services as well as its established HVAC offerings.
