Art classes, camps in July

SYCAMORE – Summer art camps and classes for children and adults continue at the Art Attack School of Art in July.

Drawing camps for children 5-8 and 9 and older are offered July 8 and 11. Classes are small, and artists at all skill levels are welcome. Fees are $65 and include supplies.

Watercolor artist Graydon Cafarella is offering a painting class for artists 14 and older on Tuesdays from July 9 through 30. Cafarella teaches brush techniques, washes and spattering, and other techniques in a follow-me format. The class is $60 and includes supplies.

There are teen and adult drawing classes on Mondays and photography and wheel-thrown pottery classes on Thursdays. Artist Anna Miller will pay a short visit in July to teach ceramic portrait wall art. In a two-day workshop July 8 and 10, Miller will teach students 12 and older the basics of carving a portrait in clay. The class fee is $35.

In a mono prints class with a twist, artist Fae Lynch will show artists 12 and older how to create a one-time print on fine art paper using sandpaper and fabric crayons. Classes will be held July 17 and 24 and cost $30, which includes supplies.
