Pickin’ in the Park plays in Kirkland

KIRKLAND – The fifth annual Pickin’ in the Park evening of music will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, in Franklin Township Park. Listeners are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs.

Performers scheduled to play include John Brizzolara, Kami Mathes, Diana Carls, Cooter Brown, Basically Bluegrass, Killbuck Country Grass, Brad Wallace, The Saltines, Dale Rhode of Cross Roads and Duane Fisher of Shuvlhed in an acoustic performance.

The evening also includes a 50/50 raffle, cookies by Renee McGuan and the Marine Corps League Ladies Auxiliary and $5 dinners that include an Inboden’s hamburger, chips and pop. All proceeds benefit the Joe McGuan scholarship fund.
