DeKALB – DeKalb Area Retirement Center – Oak Crest, 2944 Greenwood Acres Drive in DeKalb, will host “Behind the Lions” at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3. The program is free and open to the public.

After the Impressionist movement, the art world went in many different directions, and art became part of everyday life. “Behind the Lions,” presented by volunteers with the Art Institute of Chicago, explores art as it represented ordinary life. Some of the artists highlighted in this presentation are Munch, Manet and Van Gogh.

Oak Crest is located at 2944 Greenwood Acres Drive in DeKalb. The public is invited to this free program.
