SYCAMORE – Made Just for You, 338 W. State St. in Sycamore, will host its annual open house on Saturday, Sept. 28.

In addition to the usual sales, door prizes and food samples, available from 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., the store is participating in the Art Attack Art Walk. An artist from the Art Attack will be in the store from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Sara J. Gardner McAllister, a crafter whose work has been sold in the store, will sign copies of her children's book, "The Adventures of Frank E. Furtor," from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The book follows the story of two ordinary children who become superheroes when danger threatens their town. The illustrations in the book are line drawings young readers are encouraged to color in themselves.

The open house will also be the debut of the newest Cat's Meow building replica, the Jane Fargo Hotel. Cat's Meow has made collectible replicas of almost 20 buildings in Sycamore, DeKalb, Rochelle and Genoa.
