The Men’s Group of Sycamore United Methodist Church is preparing for its 59th annual pancake supper. The men plan to serve more than 550 meals at this year’s event, which will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6.

The event brings in approximately $2,500 to $3,000 in proceeds which are donated to needed areas within the church and community. A few of the causes are: Bible school supplies, food pantry, scholarships for both high school youth and adult mission trips, Pay-It-Forward House, Camp Reynoldswood and selected church improvement projects.

Tickets can be purchased at the church office, Sunday mornings between services, or at the door. The all-you-can-eat menu includes pancakes and syrup, sausage, scrambled eggs, applesauce, coffee and milk. Sugar-free syrup also is available.

Tickets cost $7 for adults and $3 for children ages 6-10. Children age 5 and under eat for free.

Sycamore United Methodist Church is located at 160 Johnson Avenue.

** I think it best that this be placed in the “Faith” section of the Chronicle on Friday, January 24th and the Midweek January 29th. If not in the January 24th Chronicle, then please insure it gets in the January 31st Chronicle)
